Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a workshop in cooperation with the General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) entitled “Working mechanisms of GAZT” on Tuesday 17/8/1437 AH.
In the beginning of the workshop, Mr. Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al-Kharashi, GAZT Deputy Director General of Programs and Policies welcomed the participants.
In his speech, he highlighted the roles and objectives of the GAZT to address difficulties and streamline the procedures of taxpayers.
The workshop covered a number of points for discussion, including the implementation of the new ERAD system, its advantages, and the requirements of registration in the system as well as the services provided at the GAZT website. It also touched upon many aspects related to the Zakat and tax, the withholding tax, its provisions and models; and the rights and obligations of taxpayers.
Then, the floor was given to participants in order to ask questions that were all answered by Mr. Al-Kharashi, Director General of Control and Audit Mohammed I. Al-Hassan, Director General of the Automated System Fahd Al Mojil, Mr. Fawaz A. Al Otaibi and Director of the Public Relations Department Mr. Badah M. Al Asmi.
